The woods with which conpiacere coffee capsule dispenser are produced
At conpiacere, we put a lot of effort into choosing the wood from which the coffee capsule dispensers are made. Our aim is to use types of wood which show off and highlight the colours of the Nespresso coffee capsules particularly well. At the same time, we want to the geometry of the capsule dispenser to come across. Woods without a very pronounced grain are especially suitable for this. As the basic material for producing a conpiacere coffee capsule holder, we use selected laminated wood with continuous slats that ensure a continuous longitudinal grain. If the quality we demand is not available on the market, we buy the wood on the tree and produce the laminated wood ourselves. In doing so, we ensure that we have the best possible material. And it's a living resource: because of the diversity of the specific grain and colouring of the wood, each model is unique. Finally, we achieve a high-quality finish on the surface of the conpiacere coffee capsule holder's with meticulous sanding, oiling and polishing.
Walnut wood is one of the darkest and most valuable woods of the northern latitudes and is characterised by a subtle, unobtrusive pattern. To achieve a beautiful deep brown tone as a background for highlighting the metallic colours of the Nespresso capsules, the conpiacere models made from walnut are treated with an oil that also has dark pigments to give a rich surface.
The grain of the European maple is very subtle and has fine, regular, light brown lines. Up until modern times, tableware such as plates and cups, and other household articles were made from this robust, light-coloured wood. The conpiacere maple coffee capsule holder is treated with an oil that contains additional white pigments. The result is a warm, white-light wood surface that looks very classy and shows off the bright colours of the Nespresso coffee capsules perfectly.
The French or red oak, unlike the better known German or English oak, which has a more of a light greenish tint, is characterised by a warm, very slightly reddish colour, which harmonises perfectly with the colours of Nespresso coffee capsules. It has a relatively regular grain and flares more strongly than maple or walnut, but significantly less than other medium brown woods. The finished conpiacere models made from French oak are treated with a natural-coloured oil and carefully finished.
